How do I learn the rules?
Your first Practice vs Bots game is a guided tutorial. You can also tap How to Play on the home screen any time, or tap the 💡 Hint button during a round for suggestions.
How do I play with friends?
Tap Host a Game and share the 5-letter join code or the invite link. Friends tap Join and enter the code. You need 4–6 players; the host can turn on bots to fill empty seats.
Someone lost connection. What happens?
After about 20 seconds a bot takes over their seat, keeping their cards and score. When they reconnect they get their seat back automatically. If your app closed, open it again and tap Rejoin on the home screen.
It says my friend needs to update the app.
Everyone in a room needs the same version of Heart Crusher. Update from the App Store (open the App Store, tap your profile picture, and pull down to refresh updates), then join again.
How is scoring worked out?
Cards you lay down add their value (2–10 face value, J 11, Q 12, K 13, A 14). A 4-card set or suited run earns a +10 bonus, and 5 or more cards earns +25. Cards left in your hand at the end of the round are subtracted. The first player to reach the target score (300 by default) wins.
Your account
Can I play without an account?
Yes: choose Play as Guest, or play Practice vs Bots. Guest progress is tied to that device.
How do I change my name or settings?
Tap the ⚙️ on the home screen, or the ⚙️ during a game, to change your display name, sound, vibration, card colors and hints.
How do I reset my stats?
Open My Stats and tap Reset Stats. This can't be undone.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Delete Account in the app. This permanently deletes your account, profile and stats. You can also email us to ask for deletion.
Safety
How do I report or block a player?
During a game, tap the player's avatar and choose Report or Block. In the lobby, press and hold their name. Blocked players' chat and reactions are hidden from you. You can unblock people in Settings.
Is it OK for kids?
Yes. There's no free-text chat (only pre-written phrases and emoji), display names are filtered for offensive words, and there are no ads or in-app purchases. Younger players can play as a Guest without an email address. See our Privacy Policy for details.
